Hello Shark Members

As many of you are aware there was a recent PHO order issued for the Vancouver Coastal and Fraser Health Regions. Part of this order puts strict restrictions on all indoor activities especially around those that could not maintain the 2 meter physical distancing.

After communicating with the City of Coquitlam today and reviewing our Covid-19 Safety plan we will be continuing with our regularly scheduled swim practices.

For those of you that may have concerns, our Covid-19 Safety Plan has been designed to allow our athletes and coaches the ability to operate in a very safe manner. Our plan is primarily focused on  maintaining 2 meters of physical distance and in instances where that is not possible all parties need to wear a mask.  Along with our recent update of making masks mandatory during activation and entering/exiting the pool we believe our current practices and safety plan meet the requirements put forth by the Provincial Health Office. If anyone has any questions or concerns please reach out to VicePresident@Coquitlamsharks.org

Remember 2019? Remember the Simon Fraser Regionals at Spani Pool? Perhaps you are in one of these photos…

We are currently working with the City of Coquitlam on possible pool availability for Fall and Winter maintenance training. The Covid-19 pandemic substantially affects our ability to provide our usual aquatics programs as there is still much uncertainty on pool availability at this time. Once we have program information we will provide updates on our website, Instagram and twitter. If you have been a member of the Sharks at any time during 2019-2020 seasons you will receive an email with the program plan for Fall and Winter. We hope to provide new information by mid-September. Thank you for your patience.
